05/16 Customer Service Experience with Tokina 100mm Lens
My new Tokina 100mm lens had an autofocusing problem and I had to contact the customer service department. Contacting them was a bit confusing because Tokina is a company that changed hands several times. They do however make everything clear on their website on how to get in touch with their personnel in case anything happen to your equipment. I followed the instruction carefully on their website and sent my lens in for repair. To my surprise, their response is pretty quick. All my issues were handled carefully and with good professionalism. I would definitely buy again from them given this kind of customer service. The lens that I got is now perfect. The autofocus works great without any problem and I am enjoying every moment that I spend with this lens. If you want to get this lens but are afraid of the customer service, do not be afraid.
When we speak of landscape photography what comes into your mind is a reliable ultra-wide-angle lens, like the Tokina 11-16. This lens is one of the examples of an ultra-wide lens, that is rated high in terms of overall all performance and this is according to experts. It is designed as a professional lens, this particular lens is also equipped with modern features that can deliver the basic and advanced requisites in a landscape photo. So how should a landscape photo be taken? Landscape is something special. It should make your viewers feel the picturesque scenery as if your viewer is right in front of your subject. As much as possible, it should be on the eye level. For instance, if you’re taking photos of the sea, create an angle where the waves, as your subject, to be within the level of your eye, therefore, you have to go really low or even on the ground to snatch it. Pay attention to details, especially in the peripheral areas, sometimes there are floating subjects, which might ruin the whole scene.
